I also believe that child molestation is a form of peadophillia. Especially if you were not the only victim. I am speaking about people who are well into adulthood and messing with children who are an age where they are barely able to comprehend what is going on. That to me is peadophillia.

Christianity has a lot to blame for how much shit people are "allowed" and "not allowed" to do. I am NOT saying paedophilla is acceptable to me, at all. I am saying many of modern belief systems are based upon what chistianity stands for. Some issues with what is a standard "acceptance" of what is paedophilla is totally bullshit. Some of it I will agree with. Ephebophiles seems to be far reaching. I mean what are the guidelines of such? What if the law were to lower the legal age of consent? Then what?
I see a lot of this stuff as a means to control people and set a "moral" highground.

I recently watched the "Notorious Betty Paige" what she was doing we wouldn't even blink an eye at. But back then people assumed it to be "disgusting", "unethical" and even blamed what she was doing as cause for concern for "sexual deviants" to pose a threat to the general public.

recently my friends 2 daughters were the victims of a pedophile
the younger one who is only 2 years old was injured
she had to be taken to a hospital out of town
and follow up appointments to take pictures of the scar tissue

rob and I have been going to every court date for this loser
he tried to plead insanity,bullshit!
he was found competent to stand trial

I dont beleive its a disorder,I do beleive its pre dispositioned
I dont beleive these kind of people can be rehabilitated

i dont waste my time being overprotective and paranoid

i've already discussed the good touch/bad touch with both of my children

and thankfully there is not statute of limitations in most states on convicting pedophiles

I'm trying to see your point Phate, that if there is consent, then it's okay?  Let's consider that if the child is so young and doesn't even comprehend what sexual intercourse is, then a child saying yes means nothing. A child will say yes just to about anything if you offer a child something it likes. A puppy, some candy, etc.  There is no consent there, only persuasion and manipulation. 

Personally I also take into account that adults are concious of choice (as where most children don't understand choice) and that is where the difference lies. An adult makes the choice to put his/her hands on a child and that is something that can be controlled. Pedophiles don't act on impulse, they use persuasion and manipulation to molest. They threaten loved ones of the child as well. There is no consent, only mental manipulation.

Now I'm not talking about some teenage girl or boy who is about 16 years old (or even a bit younger) and has an attraction to an older man or woman. Most teens, (not all, but most) realize what sex is by that age, do have the capability to make a choice and therefore are consenting even though in most states the age of consent isn't until you're 18. I also take into consideration that people develope and mature mentally at different rates. One 16 year old might have the mental capacity and comprehension of an 8 year old as where the other might have the maturity of someone in their mid-20's.

So in trying to keep an open mind, I do NOT see pedophilia as acceptable when it comes to a very young child as no young child is mentally, physically or conciously able to consent to any sexual activity with anyone.
