Obviously, I would like see your opinions on the subject. Do you see pedophilia as a mental disorder? Or do you even see it as a sexual orientation?

I know I will get a lot of shit over this, but I do see it as a mental illness, and as a sexual orientation.  It's like a fetish, you just can't help what you are attracted to.

The stigma that's attached to paedophilia is part of what makes it so horrifying.  People do not take the time to form an opinion, they just instantly start banging their flagons on the table shouting "Burn the witch!".  Ignorance is part of it.

Also, a lot of parents these days allow their children to dress very sluttily.  I once saw a 6-7 year old girl in a PVC miniskirt, matching boob-tube and high heels.  What kind of detterent is that?

Back to my opinion, which I've already been banned for another forum for expressing (LAWL).  I think, just like BDSM, Feet, hair, things like that, it's just a matter of personal preference.

I think child rape is deplorable.  Fair point, I'm sure you'll agree.  But, I think that actual love (That doesn't involve sexual relations) is, or could be acceptable.  If both the parents and the child give consent, then yes, I think it could be condoned.  For some reason, child love is now synonymous with child molestation.  They are different things.

Now, for those with a closed mind, and that are quick to jump to conclusions,  I will say that child love doesn't interest me whatsoever, I just view this objectively and without bias.

All of this has to do with your subject. Your subject is pedophilia, and all of those threads have to do with pedophilia, I was simply offering information, and other discussions on the subject to you for further review.

I personally have issues with the word pedo, and people using it out of context. It's not a joke, or something to play around with. My father and uncle were pedos. I was merely a child of 5 or so when they chose to do the things they did. However I don't believe in the statement that people are fairly normal otherwise, people like that have serious inner turmoil going on inside. So appearing normal is common, as with any other serious mental illness.

On the other hand, some people will judge those who are with people much younger or much older then themselves, but I do believe if the person is of legal age, and consent, they cannot be considered pedos.
Men marry women half their age all the time. Recently more women are marrying younger men. It's a common practice. It has been a common practice for a very long time. Women of young age were forced to marry men twice their age for centuries.

I find the urge to fuck kids to be a mental issue. I find it irrelevent if it's pre-wired in your bain. Some people are pre-wired to kill, that doesn't mean they just get to. Sometimes people need to be rewired or put down. I have no real tolerance for the act of child molestation. I have talked to chomo's before openly to try and understand them. they don't make sense though because they are fucked up.

For a good movie about pedophilia, go watch the Woodsman. It's great and captures the struggle rather well from what i can gather.

I also believe that child molestation is a form of peadophillia. Especially if you were not the only victim. I am speaking about people who are well into adulthood and messing with children who are an age where they are barely able to comprehend what is going on. That to me is peadophillia.

I would like to point out that too many people confuse paedophiles and ephebophiles.  Paedophiles have an attraction to children (-Phile being derived from the greek word for "love"), whereas ephebophiles are attracted to teenagers.

It's important to know the difference if you are going to make an argument.
