the time was 505  AD and not even the Franks were Christians yet and i dont think the tribes from that region were ready to see christianity as an option yet ,the norsemen accepeted christianity centuries later ......

Well, him being a demon makes it interesting  laughing  I think they should have left it pagan.  It's a good story nonetheless.  I don't mind the christianity because there isn't really that much of it in there.

The one that is not animated is Beowulf and Grendel, which is the story of him slaying the demon Grendel that plagued Haerot, a banquet hall.
This movie is about Beowulf and the demons vengeful mother.

I haven't seen either movies, but I have read Beowulf and Grendel.. it's wonderful.

The animated movie is the same Smiley  Although..wait...he didn't slay Grendel's mother.  Instead he has a son with her that ends up being the dragon he slays at the end of the movie.

I am trying to get through the movie now. It is having to buffer every 30 seconds. aggrivating to say the least.

I gave up on the movie. It was hopeless. It kept buffering and would never play for more than 30 seconds. I think I will use the place scary posted.

I will definately have to go see this film. I saw Beowulf an Grendel when it came out and i enjoyed that. I must admit I was a tad disappointed when I found out it was animated but I will handle it for the fact of the story being told
