i liked the first and second one and even the third but it just went on too long after a while it just wasnt scary anymore like jason takes manhattan come on now ridiculous.

ok. from the start, the original Fri 13th was ok. Sure the first was a tad let down for me seeing as it was Jason's mum, but the rest were good upto part 8. After that, nothing special. Jason takes Manhattan was a fuckin' joke. Really! if Jason was so killer minded, then he could quite easily have slaughtered a few innocent by-standers whilst chasing that chick. Crystal lake is his home. thats where the killing should stay.

As for this remake. I, as an avid horror fan, generally hate remakes and to some degree, hate this one too. Theres nothing that great about it. Sure the special fx have moved on, thats just progress, but i much prefer films with prosthetics. Something that has been hand made. something that someone swaeted over and not just sat at a pc to do.

Hollywood have screwed up many decent horror films over the past few years. Theres no need to keep on remaking horror films anymore. its getting boring now. They should take a long hard look at their own back catalouge and remake films that really do need remaking. As for their pathetic attempts at remaking eastern horror (the eye, the ring, the grudge etc) they just cant do it. they just cant capture the atmpsphere like our eastern horror cousins can. Its time hollywood fucked off and got on with original films or remaking other film genres now.
