I don't like how almost every song they have ever recorded has been about the consumption of alcohol. I prefer metal with depth, and lyrics that speak of drinking and being merry have no depth.  I guess it works with the whole folk thing though, so I probably shouldn't complain.

Korpiklaani is, has, and will always be a drinking band. Always. There's a fuckload of music that deals with serious topics (Panopticon, Immortal Technique, etc, etc). What's wrong with being merry. It's a welcome break to cliched death metal and the majority of copy-cat third wave black metal.
