I`m waiting for this film... I`m really anxious to be honest

here is the trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7nYBfYlU0mA  the characters are like the original... the only sad thing is that Sony Pictures purchased the film rights from Tezuka ...
when US touch something Japanese is disastrous like Godzilla or the recent events with Dragon Ball Z

im not saying anything about the animation, that is one of the thing that the US can do pretty good, but the story... i just hope it doesnt turn out into another  street fighter(new one not Van Dame one), DBZ or bassicly anything that was taken by the US and fucked up

I just hope they dont fuck up Akira`s movie too when it comes out..

Rotten Tomatoes has it at 71%, which is pretty decent.

And the United States touches all sorts of Japanese things without altering them.  We distribute way more Japanese films here than in most other western countries.

Well... yes and no.
Sometimes Japanese directors also work together with western directors in order to ruin the original.
