One movie I'd like to see a remake of would be "The Thing." Which itself is a remake. But the only reason would be just to have it updated with better special effects. The John Carpenter's version had a great scene cut out of it due to the quality of effects of the day.

im sad that there gonna redo it..it wont be wes craven and england IS kruger...sorry but jason..and micheal they can be played by anyone..they have masks and dont talk...but kruger on the other hand...is totally different....if they fuck this up..im killing someone

Some movies would benefit from being remade but only if they sucked the first time around.  The original Hills Have Eyes wasn't that great but I really liked the remake.  Fuck the sequel they did...didn't care for that.
