no offense to anyone, but any over-moderated forum is destined to fail.
People do not like being censored, people don't like their friends being banned, and people don't like their posts deleted even if it is against the "rules"
I have never been to LC's site, I don't think, so I can't really say anything against it. I am sure she has her reasons for doing what she is doing and running the site the way she wants to run it.. it is her site, she is allowed to do whatever she wants with it... even piss people off, ban them and chase them away.. if that is what she wants.
I have been on enough forums to know what works. 
This site works because people are allowed to chit chat all over the place and no one cares. We have one section where it isn't allowed, and it doesn't really work, lol.
I understand why she would not want her site to be like this one, with everyone fighting all the time, but that is the way she wants it, and if you don't like it, don't go there.
Why you come to this site to bitch about her site is totally beyond me.

It makes me laugh that they were praising it for the rules when they were there, bitching about SS talking shit about it, even when I said it was a pretty fucked thing to do.  And they're doing the same thing now. They want to bring it here? lol Fine. Fuck it!

It's not about what was said either, it was about breaking the rules. lol  They'll twist it around though, just as they already have.

Then there are people who have no clue [that haven't even joined] that put in their two cents and talk shit.  

It's not over moderated. lol  Compared to SS,  or any site for that matter, is over moderated or appears so.  

LC did not make another SS. The members who joined of their own free will made identical topics and TRIED to turn it into SS, then got all upset when they realized that it's not, even though they're STILL trying to say it is.

Anyway, I applaud you for your post, Lori.   Maybe people will get a fucking clue once and for all.

I figure any site normally will have a set of clearly defined rules intended to govern the site and keep it running smoothly. So, if someone did in fact break those rules they should be banned if it is truly serious. But not if it's just out of spite or such.

For once, I have to agree with WC. CR has become a real joke. At first, everything was ok, but then all hell broke loose.

Tonight, Kurt, Kaz(Kurt's brother for who don't know), Mystic, me, Jen, and Socky were in chat. Apparently, it was said that Kaz had been banned from the forum for saying that it had poor management. It set LC's bf off, so he banned Kaz from the forum. LC later on said Kaz could re-register an account and even told him in chat when she came in for a little bit. Kaz denied, and said he would just stick to chat. Nothing else was said.

Well, little did some of us know, LC deleted the chat from the forum and stripped Socky and Kurt's mod powers from them for allowing Kaz to be in chat. She specifically said he could rejoin right there in front of everyone! Socky had no idea in the matter in the first place so he was punished for absolutly no reason.

Now, most of the people on the forum are pissed off and aren't going back. Most are even trying to get banned. It's actually kind of funny. LC is being so hypocritical about the situation it's stupid. I don't think I'll be returning either.

Before everyone gets all high and fucking mighty, consider a few things first before you go assuming.

Let me set the record straight for a few of you idiots who think and assume that LC's forum is or is trying to be a clone of SS. You're fucking WRONG!   LC respects Satanah, isn't trying to make a clone of SS and has a totally different agenda for her forum.

LC made Chaos Realm to PROMOTE HER MUSIC!  There wasn't even a forum on it until recently.  There never has been and never will be any need to make a SS clone! She invited people to her website long before she added the forum and continued to invite people after.

Now, this might come as a fucking shock to you but the reason why there's similarities is because her forum is run on an SMF format, the same as this forum. It doesn't take a fucking rocket scientist to figure out why there would be the same setup. It's because that's how the makers of SMF have their forums set up.  Just as phpFoX has their own format, or zetaboards, or any other place that offers forum formats. Many people choose SMF because they're a good set up.  Google it and try out their demo and see for yourself. Fucking idiots!

And last, this issue over what happened last night. Get a fucking clue before anyone goes and makes an ass out of themselves for assuming, again!

Kaziel was previously banned. The reasons why are not important. If someone feels the need to ban someone from a forum, that's their fucking choice. Boohoo!  He was going in to chat, when he was banned and that's against the rules. Of course, no one here understands that most forums that are not SS have rules they enforce.  With that, LC got pissed, understandably so.  She NEVER said she would let Kaziel back, she said she would ask Necro and see if he would allow it, just as anyone would do the same considering he's an admin on there.  Given Socks knew Kaziel wasn't supposed to be there, she got upset, understandably so. Given that Inc knew he wasn't supposed to be there, she got upset.  She decided to strip them of their mod status because they, plain and simple, allowed someone in that a mod should have otherwise not let in chat.

So, there you have it. Fuck off with all of your assumptions. Talk about finding out what's going on before you act? Practice what the fuck you preach before you go and make ASSumptions. And for those who are so fucking concerned about SS clones, have fun with the new forum but god forbid you use SMF, you'll be making a SS clone.
