I knows I'm not old. 26 is still quite young. But sometimes I gets tired of people thinking I'm like 16 or 18. Then again, it's a good thing I suppose. Means when I am getting up there in age, I won't look it!

I think it's also something in my family...if you look at my mom and my sisters as well...they look quite a bit younger than they really are. Must be good genes in that area, or something.

You're welcome.     I see your point, it makes total sense. It's like a blessing and a curse but I'd be glad for the blessing.  

It makes me think of a friend of my daughter's.  When she was still in high school I took them to the roller rink one night. When we picked the girl up I thought she was 30 years old...honestly!  I was shocked at how old she looked and thought maybe she was doing meth or something. When I dropped her off I asked my daughter if she did heavy drugs.  My daughter said people think that all the time about her, that she's older than she is and does drugs.  Well, she doesn't do drugs, but what she does do is constantly bleaches her hair, she's always sun bathing and then goes to tanning booths to stay tan year round. Just those few things have aged her but I still wonder if it's not something more. Either way, I feel sorry for her because although she's attractive, she looks much older than she is.  

Damn...just makes me glad that doing the drugs I did back in the day didn't make me age like it does others. But it's sad...people who want to look perfect (with the tanning and what not), look perfect for a bit, but then it destroys their looks sooner or later.

You know I think it's sad that people can't just be happy with who they are. Yes, it's fine to diet, color your hair, even get a little plastic surgery if it makes you happy, but to go to extremes to where it alters what you look like altogether, I just don't get it.  I've seen what are otherwise very attractive people ruin themselves by overdoing things.

Well I wasn't really talking about drugs in the first place, but questioned if my daughter's friend didn't do more than what she claims given she's only 19 and looks 30.

Exactly. Even dieting can be taken to extreme. I remember suffering from eating disorders on and off for many years, since the age of 12, give or take a year or two. My father told me when I was little that I was too fat, and if I lost weight, I would be much prettier. So...yeah. Took it too far, ended up in the hospital before because of it. All those years of doing that to my body fucked up how I eat. A lot of the time, I can't eat very much, or my stomach gets upset. Other times, I can eat a decent amount, but think I ate way too much.

It's sad how fucked up people can get in order to look good.
