Describe Another SS Member

This should be fun. We've all had our chance to describe ourselves in some form or other. I figured that it may be a good/interesting idea to see ourselves from another's perspective. So now, instead of describing yourself, describe any other member of your choice in your own words. It has to be someone other than yourself. Keep in mind this is an Inner Sanctum topic, so please try to remain serious about it (I know it will be hard to do, but try).  Include things such as how they act on the forum, as well as what you think they'd be like in person.

Hmmm.... Good question. I don't know. I guess if you really have some reservations about naming someone, then no. I would like to see names though. I'll leave that as a personal option.

Lori through my eyes:

When you first meet her she can come off a bit abrasive or mean spirited. But she has a thing about her that makes it difficult to dismiss her and you find you want to get to know her. Eventually, if you're lucky enough, you and her will become friends.

As a friend she's very loyal and caring. But she can also be very sensitive and hurt easily. I've hurt my dear friend. I've had her crying. It's a terrible thing. But she is forgiving. Some folks would always suggest any loyal friend of Lori's is a blind puppy or a sheep. But such people are fools who know nothing. For they don't see that Lori doesn't ask for people to like her. That's her magic. You like her or you don't. You accept her as she is or you don't. And she doesn't ask for anything special in return as a friend.

No, what you get with Lori is just that: a true friend. You will love her at times and at other times you'll want to strangle her. But you'll also find Lori has a lot of depth to her. She and I have spent very long stretches on the phone. I've never spoken more on the phone with any single person other than Lori. And Lori is smart. She can discuss a lot of topics. And she can be very opinionated. She can be extremely passionate about some things. Also, she doesn't have a problem knocking a friend down a peg or two when they get too big for their breeches. She's sorted me out quite a few times.

Lori acts tough but can be so soft. She can come off as a bitch. But she can also come off as a real sweetheart. Lori is many things. And all of them are loveable. With Lori you get genuine acceptance as a friend and you don't feel as if you must meet certain conditions. I know there's much about me that pisses her off. But she's my friend anyway. All the while never expecting anything more than the same honest friendship from me.

Perhaps it is for these reasons some dislike her so and try to tear her down. They can't accept someone who is a genuinely good person.

I have a way of making her giggle. And her giggle is endearing. As is her sniffles on the phone.

She can also be very sweet and caring. She's cared for me when I needed it. Of all the people I know on SS, and of all those who are friends, Lori has always been the truest. She and I have had awful fights. But unlike many on SS she won't turn against you and play the stupid games others would do.

And, on a side note, Magpie is another great friend. And she has a lot of traits in common with Lori. Like Lori she makes an excellent friend. Although in most cases Magpie comes off much sweeter of temperament than Lori. It's almost as if Magpie is her long lost daughter.

Maybe make a different post for each if they're long. I only say that because I know there is a limit to how long a post can be.

Lori, no worries. I for one will not be judging by how it is written. It is the thoughts that are more interesting. But, don't feel rushed or anything. Whenever you're ready.

But you need not do such for me. I know what you'd say and how you feel about me Lori-mo. Words pale compared to that.

Yup, I've some in mind but not anytime now to write up something good. I'll only put up descriptions of friends. I don't intend to cause this topic to turn into a war. So, next time around I'll describe a few of my favorites here.
